What a pleasure it is to have the brilliant and talented Healthy Grocery Girl curating our March box! Manitoba Harvest’s Hemp Hearts are a big favorite of hers, so be sure to look for them in your box. Stirred into smoothies or sprinkled over salads, they add tons of protein to almost any dish.
Wondering what in the world you’ll do with your package of hemp seeds? And as you can see from her flavorful fruit salad, Megan Roosevelt, RD, LD, proves that Mother Nature is sometimes the best recipe resource of all.
Coconut, Chia and Hemp Fruit Salad
- 1 cup of fresh fruit (I chose berries)
- 1 teaspoon of whole chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon of unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1 to 2 tablespoon of hemp seeds
Wash and slice fruit. Place fruit in a bowl and sprinkle on top of fruit: chia seeds, shredded coconut and hemp seeds. Enjoy!
