Stephanie ivanick, Brand Partnership Manager: Green Cold Pressed Juice
I love to start my day with green cold pressed juice which boosts my energy and prevents me crashing later in the day! I especially love Evolution Juice ‘Organic Avocado Greens’, Pressed Juicery ‘Greens 3’ and Juice Press’s ‘Be Fit’.
Katie Henshaw, Brand Partnership Manager (and crazy 8yr old!): Lobster
LOBSTER! Ok, so it’s an indulgence - but a delicious splurge makes me really feel like I’m living! As for laughing: you just try breaking apart the shells, working for your meal, all while wearing a little plastic bib, without cracking a smile. And since I grew up in Boston, a real lobster meal is so nostalgic for me, it reminds me of warm summer nights after a day at the beach. Being reminded of those happy memories is restorative for the soul.
Ciao Luu, E-commerce Manager: Meli’s Honey Waffle
I love Meli’s Honey Waffle. I’m a big fan of honey! It’s one of those sweeteners that’s actually good for you, which is rare.
Xiang Li, Software Developer: Yam and Chicken Soup with Jujubes
I think my favorite food that fits the theme is Yam and Chicken Soup. We usually add some jujubes and L:barbarums as an additional ingredient. It’s a great restorative food in China. Stewed for a long time, the yam and chicken are very tender and delicious.
Lisa Heath, Logistics and Office Manager: Pizza
My favorite food to help me live, laugh and restore is Hot Pizza and Beer! Pizza is delicious, brings us together and makes me feel happier. Maybe it is the beer? One of my favorite things to do is to search for a city’s finest and most perfect pizza!
Aihui Ong, Founder/CEO: Roasted Chickpeas
Chickpeas are naturally low in fat, high in dietary fiber and rich in vitamins and minerals. Roasted chickpeas is the perfect healthy and great snack to satisfy my salty and crunchy cravings, especially when I’m on the road. I love roasting my own chickpeas because I can control the amount of salt and have fun experimenting with new flavors, e.g. curry-flavored chickpeas, sweet and spicy chickpeas etc. Click here to learn to roast your own chickpeas.
George Mendoza, Software Developer: Chili Con Carne
I’m not sure how to relate it to Live and Restore portions of the theme, but Chili Con Carne definitely fits the Laugh portion. Yes, insert your own fart jokes.
Stephen Hahm, Marketing Director: Almonds
My go-to snack is almonds…I buy them raw and roast them at home in the toaster oven. They’re addictive, healthy, and filling. I munch on them all day with dried fruit or dark chocolate. Plus they make the house smell yummy!
Bianca Landis, Customer Happiness: Chocolate Chip Cookies by HannahMax Baking Co.
I’ve recently fallen in L-O-V-E with the Chocolate Chip Cookie Chips by Hannah Max Baking Co. The fact that they have no artificial ingredients or colors, trans fats, preservatives or GMO’s are great. However, the most important thing about them is that one serving of 5 cookies is only 120 calories and they taste A-mazing! Hello, can we say, party in my tummy! I’ve already dedicated this as my guilt free snack for 2015. Definitely- a must try if you haven’t already! (Editors note: EVERYTHING from HannahMax could make this list!)
Katie Roletto, Videographer and Photographer: Blueberries
I by no means consider myself a health nut, but even for a pizza-holic like me, a restore is definately in order from time to time. My go to snack in these moments are some fresh blueberries. Blurberries are high in antioxidents which is fantatic for keeping healthy cells. A healthy cell is a happy cell! I just add some to my oatmeal in the morning or even a salad and I feel a bit better about an easy and heathy choice.
Jasmine Ho, Social Media: Green Tea
I love unwinding with some green tea.The soothing, sweet smell of green tea helps me relax after a rough day. It is a great treat to indulge in because green tea is loaded with antioxidant and nutrients, and it has been shown to improve blood flow and lower cholesterol. I love my green tea with a squeeze of lemon and a dollop of honey, served over ice.
Meryl Bennan, Content Marketing: Tangerines
At this time of year I love tangerines! They’re so refreshing that I can’t stop with one or two. I end up with a pile of peels on the side of my desk. In addition to fending off the crud that’s going around, Vitamin C is great for the skin. I’ll eat to that!
