Yes I know I am annoying. Yes I do have to ask these questions.
2. The frustration of going through several awful gluten-free cookie recipes before finding one that tastes like actual cookies.
Why does life have to be so hard rn.
3. Suppressing the eye roll when you start a conversation with someone who has clearly confused Celiac disease and gluten intolerance.
Just stop.
4. The pain of smelling the baked goods that someone brings in to work and knowing you can’t have them.
It’s like the beginning of a bad relationship. I want it so bad but I know I’ll hate myself.
5. The delight of discovering that your favorite pizza place now has gluten-free crust.
*makes reservation every Friday for the next 30 years*
6. The tears of happiness that well up when you have dinner at your friend’s and they remember to make something gluten-free.
“I’ll be there for youuuu like I’ve been there befooooore…”
7. The victory dance that you want to break out when you try a new restaurant and they have a separate gluten-free menu.
I never knew such luxury could exist.
8. The angry surprise of finding out about another random food that is inexplicably made with gluten.
One word: mustard.
9. The dread when you realize you inadvertently ate something with gluten.
Brace yourselves.
10. The futility of thinking that maybe if you just have a little bit of that brownie it won’t be that bad.
Nope nope. Just nope.
11. The pride when you realize that you’re doing just fine without gluten.
Psh. You’re stronger than this. Gluten don’t own you.
