2 Baked Potatoes
1 recipe cheese sauce
1 1/2 C steamed broccoli
4 TBS chopped chives
3 pieces cooked Hormel bacon, crumbled
Cheese sauce ingredients:
2 TBS Butter
2 TBS flour
1 C shredded melting white Cheese
¾ C milk
1/8 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
Cracked pepper
While preparing your other ingredients begin cheese sauce. I do my baked potatoes in the microwave but feel free to bake if you'd like.
Cheese sauce instructions:
Melt butter in a heavy bottom sauce pan on medium low.
Add flour and whisk until smooth, cook one minute, but do not brown.
Add milk slowly while bringing to temperature.
Add cheese and spices and let bubble until thickened.
Open potatoes carefully, pouring on a generous amount of cheese sauce. Top with remaining ingredients and enjoy!
This is delicious with a juicy steak and veggies.
