  • Ingredients


    14 oz. dried soba (buckwheat noodles)

    2 cups - 2 1/2 cups mentsuyu (dipping sauce)you can buy it in a bottle all ready made.

    Wasabi paste ( in a tube ) and finely chopped green onion for toppings.( scallions )

    Dried roasted Nori sheet ( dry seaweed)

    if you add chopped green onion and grated daikon radish in the dipping sauce it will be very favorable.

    Daikon is a Japanese white radish.( Grated)





    Directions


    Mentsuyu dipping sauce is sold in Asian markets.

    Cook the buckwheat noodles for a few minutes ( directions on package of noodles) noodles by boiling according to the package's instructions.

    Cool the noodles and rinse in cold water,
    Dip noodles in ice water, Drain and place on a soba tray or in a bowl.

    Cut nori ( seaweed) in small strips. Sprinkle on top of cold dry noodles.

    Pour Mentsuyu dipping sauce in a small bowl.

    Place a small dish for the wasabi & chop green onion (scallions )

    Mix green onion and a dollop of wasabi in the dipping sauce.
