This is a healthy dip
15-ounce can of chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans
2 clove of chopped garlic
1 juicy lemon
Salt
2 tbsp. tahini (sesame-seed paste)
2 tbsp. olive oil more if needed
A food processor, blender, or a potato masher
A bowl
Olives, red peppers flakes, or chili oil
Garnish of parsley, pine nuts, or
Drain the can of chickpeas.
Rinse them off in a colander. In a food processor or blender add the chickpeas.
Add 2 tbsp. tahini,cloves of peeled garlic, juice of lemon.
Add about one-quarter teaspoon of salt & one teaspoon of olive oil.
Blend the mixture until it is as smooth .
If the hummus is too thick, you can add extra olive oil to thin it out. Pour the hummus onto a small plate and smooth it out with the bottm of a big spoon in big circles until you have a smooth looking dip. add an olive in the middle or whole chickepeas.
Garnish with parsley, cilantro
parsley, pine nuts, or roasted garlic. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil or chile oil.
