3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp flour
dash of salt
3 egg yolks
2 cups milk
1/4 stick butter
1/2 tsp butter flavor extract
4 bananas
vanilla wafers
Combine egg yolks and milk, mix well. Bring to a low boil with sugar, salt and flour. Boil until thick, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter and extract.
Layer sliced bananas and vanilla wafers, reserving some wafers for the top. Pour on the pudding and top with vanilla wafers.
