Montebello Kitchens Teams Up with Love With Food to Fight Hunger

This July, Love With Food fans received a special gourmet treat from Montebello Kitchens in Virginia.

What was it?

Why, it was a jar of their handcrafted Chipotle Ketchup with Organic Agave Nectar!

What does it taste like?

Well, it’s made from vine-ripened tomatoes, so it has an intense tomato flavor. The earthy smokiness of chipotle offers an undertone of spice, which is balanced by the sweetness of organic agave nectar.

This ketchup, and all of Montebello Kitchens’ gourmet foods, are crafted by hand in small batches for a healthy dose of TLC that you won’t find with average supermarket ketchup.

At the Love With Food test kitchen, we slathered this ketchup on everything from smoked chicken to grilled vegetarian blackbean burgers. As a dip, this was really tasty with thick-cut sweet potato fries.

The Chipotle Ketchup was also fun as a secret ingredient in different recipes. For a batch of tacos, we blended in the Chipotle Ketchup for a touch of sweet heat. Topped with a dollop of sour cream and fresh California avocados, our guests loved the flavor combo but couldn’t figure out our secret weapon!

Fighting Hunger Together

Did you know that for every Love With Food box sent, and for every purchase from our Shop, we donate a meal to food banks all across America? To date, Love With Food has donated more than 8,000 meals nationwide.

This month, Montebello Kitchens and Love With Food are teaming up to provide meal donations to Blue Ridge Area Food Bank in Verona, Virginia. For every sale of Montebello Kitchens’ Gourmet Barbecue Trio, Love With Food will donate a meal to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, a member of Feeding America, provides nutritious meals to 25 counties and nine cities in central and western Virginia. In early July, a devastating storm swept through this region of the United States, leaving many with spoiled food due to power outages.

Together, Love With Food and Montebello Kitchens are proud to support Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, especially in this time of need.
