1 (9-inch) deep-dish pie shell, unbaked
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
3 large eggs, beaten
1 1/2 to 2 cups pecan chopped
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 tablespoons good-quality bourbon
Garnish

Vanilla ice-cream
Mint leaves
Strawberries, sliced
1) Preheat oven to 375 F or 180C
2) In a mixing bowl, all ingredients except the pie shell.
3) Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell and place on a cookie sheet.
4) For the first 10 mins, bake at 375F/180C. then bake at 350F/175C for another 25 mins.
5) Remove from oven and let it cool completely.
6) Serve with vanilla ice-cream, sprigs of mint leaves and sliced strawberries.
