Bacon Almond Green Beans

1 lb of trimmed green beans
1 garlic clove minced
1 tbsp of minced shallots
2 oz of sliced almonds or pine nuts
2 strips of bacon small dice
1 ½ tsp of lemon zest
1 tbsp of butter
Grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Salt/pepper TT

Recommended Products

First cut your garlic, shallots, bacon and set aside.

Heat your pan on medium and cook bacon 3/4 of the way through.

Add your butter and then the garlic, shallots and green beans cook 3-4 minutes and then add almonds and lemon zest.

Cook 1-2 minutes until green beans reach desired doneness.

Remove from heat and top with a light sprinkling of parmesan cheese and serve.
