1 vanilla cake mix
Cupcake papers
1-2 lbs. Bacon
Maple extract
Chocolate Ganache (can be purchased by cake mixes)

Make cake mix following directions on box. Put 2teaspoons maple extract in cake batter. Follow baking directions on box for cupcakes. Cook bacon, not burned, but crispy.Crumble into smallish pieces. Remove from oven, let cool. Get bottle of chocolate Ganache, por small amounts over top of cupcakes. Just enough to almost cover the top. put generous helping of bacon on top of each cupcake. Serve.

I've seen similar cupcakes at high end bakeries. I wanted to create a cupcake that was fancy and similar, but that anyone could make. I think this is a great result.
