Maple-glazed Carrots

2 lbs carrots, peeled and cut on sharp diagonal into 1/4-inch-thick oval
2 Tbl Unsalted butter
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 1/2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
Thyme
1. Boil carrot slices in salted water until they are just tender, about 7 minutes.
2. Melt butter in a saute pan, then add carrots, maple syurp, and sugar. Stir to coat.
3. Transfer carrots to bowl and top with thyme, salt and pepper to taste.
