Bacon (chopped) 1 lb
Onion (sliced, dry) 6 lbs
Bell Pepper (chopped) 1 ½ c
Ground Beef 24 lbs
Ketchup 1 Q
Chili Powder 1 T
Garlic (dry, minced) 2 Cloves
Mustard (dry, ground) 4 T
Black Pepper 2 T
Salt 5 T
Water 1 Gallon
Flour 2 2/3 c
Water 2 Q
Pie Crust Enough to cover two pans (18x24)
Combine bacon, onion and peppers, cook until onions are lightly browned.
Add ground beef and continue cooking until beef is well browned, drain.
Combine with the meat mixture the following: ketchup, chili powder, garlic, mustard, pepper, salt water (1 gallon). Bring to a boil stirring constantly.
In separate dish, combine flour and water (2 Q) to make a paste, then add to meat mixture. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Pour an equal quantity of mixture into each pan (need 2 18x24 roasting pans)
Roll dough to 1/8” thickness.
Cover meat mixture in each pan with pie dough, crimp edges and poke holes in the top with a fork.
Back 15 minutes at 425 or until crust is browned.
