2 slices of day old bread
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1 teaspoon jelly (whatever flavor you like)
1/4 cup raisin bran flakes or corn flakes
1 egg
2 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
dash of cinnamon
syrup (flavored syrups work great for this recipe)
In a flat dish big enough to dip a flat piece of bread beat egg and water together. Stir in vanilla and dash of cinnamon.
Crush raisin bran flakes on a plate into large crumbs.
Spread peanut butter and jelly on your bread and make a sandwich.
Preheat a skillet to medium high and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Take the entire sandwich and dip it in the egg mixture. Dip both sides and all the edges. Lay the dipped sandwich in the cereal crumbs. Cover all sides and the edges.
Move the sandwich to your skillet. Let it cook until the cereal is nicely browned and the egg is dry.
Serve with your choice of syrup, more jelly, or whipped cream.
