2 tart apples, sliced into 12 quarters
1 cup walnuts
4 oz. blue cheese
4 cups romaine, arugula mixed
1/2 cup Hot Squeeze Sweet Heat Chipotle
1/4 cup Hot Squeeze Orange Ginger Zing
1/2 cup olive oil
In a cast iron skillet, toss the walnuts over high heat until they begin to toast. Pour 1/4 cup Sweet Heat Chipotle over walnuts, toss and remove from heat immediately. They will carmelize. Put aside. Rinse skillet. Return to heat, add a TBS olive oil and toss in apple quarters. Toss over med. high heat until they begin to brown (but not soften) Again, add 1/4 c. Sweet Heat Chipotle, toss and remove from heat. They will carmelize nicely.
Make vinaigrette with 1/4 cup Orange Ginger Zing and remaining Olive oil, whisking the two together.
Toss lettuces with Orange Ginger Zing Vinaigrette plate with sliced apples, crumbled blue cheese and glazed walnuts.
