Bacon Topped Macaroni And Cheese

cups elbow macaroni
1 tablespoon salt
12 cups water
1 pound bacon
6 tablespoons flour
2 cups evaporated milk
2 teaspoons Worcestershire
1 large onion (chopped)
3 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 packages sausage links
1) Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until al-dente.
2) Save and drain water to make 4 cups.
3) Fry bacon and drain.
4) Keep 6 tablespoons of bacon fat.
5) Add the chopped onion until clear.
6) Add the flour to make a rue.
7) Remove from heat and slowly add the evaporated milk and the water reserved from cooking the macaroni.
8) Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
9) Season to taste with salt and pepper.
10)Add the Worcestershire and cheese.
11)Add the cooked macaroni and bacon and mix well.
12)Cook sausage links and place them on top of the dish before placing in the oven.
13)Bake in 350 degree F oven for 15 minutes.
