  • Ingredients


    3 eggs
    1 1/4 cups nonfat milk
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
    6 slices of bread, slightly stale preferred
    Raspberries or other berries for garnish (optional)
    Powdered sugar (optional)
    Cooking spray
    Maple syrup





    Directions


    1) Beat eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg together. Pour into shallow bowl.

    2) Soak bread in egg mixture. Make sure each slice is well soaked.

    3) Spray a large nonstick skillet or griddle with cooking spray and preheat.

    4) Place each soaked bread in skillet and cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side, till golden brown.

    5) Serve hot with butter, maple syrup, berries or powdered sugar.
