Love With Food Community Guidelines

Our goal is to provide a service that allows you to discover and receive delicious content, recipes and food products as well as to share your content with others. We aim is to create a fun and friendly community for foodies all around the world to connect and exchange delicious wisdom.


The following Community Guidelines are here to help you understand what it means to be a member of LoveWithFood. Don't forget that your use of LoveWithFood is subject to these Guidelines and our Terms of Service.


Do's

1) Do play nice. Share the love. We're a community of many types of people, who all have the right to feel comfortable and who may not think what you think, believe what you believe or see what you see. So, be polite and respectful in your interactions with other members.


2) Do be courteous. Please do not abuse, intimidate, stalk or otherwise spread nastiness on LoveWithFood. No one likes to be harassed. Besides, if you do, your account will be disabled.


3) Do share what you know. Chances are, someone could benefit from your knowledge, opinions, or cooking experiences. Sharing what you know is one of many ways you can make a positive contribution to the community and cultivate the delicious wisdom of the site.


4) Do keep it clean. If it is not appropriate for the whole family, please do not post it on LoveWithFood. Any adult content added to LoveWithFood will be flagged as restricted, and your account will be disabled.


5) Be a good citizen. When you see a great story, recipe, item, question or tip, give it a star or thumbs-up. If you see abuse, report it. We're committed to doing our best to stop abuse on LoveWithFood, and, with your help, we can make a difference.


6) Sharing Recipes. Good food is meant to be shared. Please give credit when credit is due. You can easily give attribution and add the source of your recipe in the Chef Note section when entering a new recipe. We asked that you abide by the rules that most cookbook authors and food writers follow:
a) If you are modifying someone else's recipe, it should be called "adapted from".
b) If you have made a similar recipe but it was inspired by another recipe, you should state that it's "inspired by".
c) If you have changed 3 ingredients or more, in most cases, the recipe is yours.
Do provide a link/url to the original recipe page. If the recipe is from a cookbook, you can link to the book on Amazon and/or the author's website.



Don’ts

1) Don't spam. Food retailers/makers are welcome on LoveWithFood, but spamming is not. Advertising your products on other members' profiles, reviews, items and groups is considered spam. Posting comments that include a signature promoting your business/products is also considered spam. If you spam on LoveWithFood, your account will be disabled.


2) No Venting, ranting or using hate speech. LoveWithFood isn't a soapbox to vent personal frustrations or rant about issues. We are a community of people with diverse beliefs, opinions, and backgrounds, so please be respectful and keep hateful and incendiary comments off LoveWithFood.


3) Don’t be creepy. You know the guy. Don't be that guy.


4) Don't be mean or obscene. Because kids as young as 13 may participate in LoveWithFood, sexually explicit and vulgar language, content and images are not welcome on the site. Also not welcome are belligerence, insults, slurs and generally objectionable speech. If you wouldn't say it in public, don't post it on LoveWithFood.


5) Don't violate the law. Members of LoveWithFood are not above the law, so don't post anything that violates the laws of your country, state, province, or city. Don't try to trick people into sharing their personal information, steal anything (like copyright or trademark material), or break into places you shouldn't be. Don't threaten, harass, impersonate, or hurt others, and don't invade other people's privacy.


6) Don't behave maliciously. Don't post links to sites that contain viruses or malicious programs or that interfere with the operation of LoveWithFood.
