I want to make dinner rolls and found a recipe for it. However it calls for oil. I was wondering if I can substitute the oil with butter in the same amount. I just think butter will taste better.

I agree, butter tastes better. I usually substitute oil with butter in the same amount and never had a problem.

Well, it depends. If you are making cakes, especially chiffon cakes, then your should use oil instead of butter. Oil helps the cake stay moist. ... see more
