Meet Fruigees

David started Fruigees with his cousin, Josh. It all began when David was a pre-med student. While in one of his bio classes, he noticed a lot of the other students were eating out of these squeeze packs. Having never even seen one before, he had to ask what it was they were eating. When they told him it was baby food, he was blown away! They mentioned the convenience, the fact that it combined fruits and veggies, and how it was healthier than eating the junk food they would normally eat. But they did admit that it didn’t taste all that great and, well, they were a bit embarrassed on being called out for eating baby food! So that’s when Josh and David got together and said, “Why don’t we make a snack that is really convenient, made from fruits and veggies, but also tastes super awesome for both kids and adults?” So that’s what they did. Every day for a few months, they went to work in their grandparent’s kitchen to develop a recipe that they could then take to the toughest group of taste-testers in the world; farmers market shoppers in LA. By being organic, non-GMO, naturally gluten-free, vegan, and really delicious, Fruigees got the thumbs up from both kids and adults. It wasn’t long before Fruigees was found in local natural grocery stores throughout Southern California and then became available nationwide.
